Latex allergies are a serious, sometimes fatal reaction to the proteins found in natural rubber latex. According to the Mayo Clinic these types of allergies can include reactions such as rash, itchiness, difficulty breathing, wheezing, cough, and more. It’s been found that 3% of the general population (including 10% of condom users and 17% of healthcare workers) are sensitive to latex products.
